COVID 19 Procedures and Instructions:
You will have more freedom of movement at Alert Level 2, but it’s up to each one of us to keep the rest of New Zealand safe.
These are the most important things that you can do:
- COVID-19 is still out there. Play it safe.
- Keep your distance from other people in public.
- If you’re sick, stay home. Don’t go to work or school. Don’t socialise.
- If you have symptoms of cold or flu call your doctor or Healthline and get tested.
- Wash your hands. Wash your hands. Wash your hands.
- Sneeze and cough into your elbow, regularly disinfect surfaces.
- If you have been told to self-isolate you must do so immediately.
- Keep a track of where you’ve been and who you’ve seen
1. WHAT REMAINS UNCHANGED AT CHAFFERS MARINA?
The basic public health measures. If you are even slightly sick, stay at home. If you have any symptoms – a runny nose or sore throat – stay at home and get a test. Wash those hands and clean surfaces regularly. Don’t share your phone.
Full access for all access card holders (includes berth owners, tenants, live aboards and contractors) will be restored.
3. COVID 19 DECLARATION
We move from the paper based declaration (currently on the pier walkways) to tracking via the access cards. It is important that under no conditions are any access card holders to access the piers without using their access cards (i.e. entering via an open gate when someone is leaving). The use of access cards is how we would undertake contact tracing should it ever be required.
The use of vessels is approved and therefore boating/yachting/fishing will be able to recommence.
Full access to the CML bathroom facilities for all card holders will be restored (NOTE: social distancing rules will need to be respected, along with good hygiene standards – clean up after yourself including toilets and hand basins. We will be retaining the bathmats for the bathrooms as a means of maintaining good hygiene levels).
The current additional hand sanitiser stations are remaining. Regarding social distancing – keep your distance. Two metres remains the gold-standard for strangers but in our workplace or with people we know the prime minister says we can “live with less” because tracing can be done if needed.
The CML Office is open but no access beyond the front counter; we do ask visitors to stand back from the counter (it will be marked on the floor).
8. BOAT LIFT
Please contact Victoria regarding bookings.
9. CAR PARKING
Enforcement recommenced as of Monday 12th May 2020. Please ensure you display a valid CML car park ticket; we also ask that during the day the CML car parks along Clyde Quay are available for contractors and short term stays
Contractors are required to sign in and out via the contractors book on the CML Front Office counter. Only authorised contractors who carry the necessary insurance and have provided the office with a copy of their insurance certificates, HSE plan and signed induction are authorised to work at Chaffers Marina (this remains unchanged from pre COVID 19 rules).
